On the 9th July 1963 the Church of St.
Thomas More was blessed and opened. Twenty year's later on 10th July
1983 Archbishop Cormac (then bishop of Arundel and Brighton) consecrated
the church of St. Thomas More's for its purpose as a "house of
prayer in which you bless your family as we come to you on
pilgrimage".
