St. Thomas More Parish Patronal Feast & Fr. John’s Ruby Jubilee

Sunday 11th July 2004. Our Mass was a very happy event and our very large church was packed with parishioners. Many extra chairs had to be brought into the church and the congregation spanned the age groups. There were very young children, teenagers, twenty and thirty year olds and young parents, the middle aged and the aged All present to celebrate and support this important and joyous event.

Children enacted the story of Saint Thomas More and the Bidding prayers were started by the very young and ended by the adults. Bishop Kieran presided at the Mass.

Afterwards there was a feast in the hall and there was more singing, and Fr. John was presented with a book.
