CAFOD Race Night  2003

A regular feature in the parish calendar is the Race Night and Fish and Chip Supper in aid of CAFOD which was held on Saturday 18th October. The horses were all sold before the event and tickets sold out quickly. The hall was packed for this very popular community event and the excitement mounted for punters and owners as the dice were tossed and the horses raced up the track. The winning owner in each race received a trophy and a bottle of champagne. 

There were also lots of happy winners on the tote and lots of winners in the successful raffle organised by David Hatton. But everyone, including our CAFOD representative Jean Loughlin, was pleased that the real winner was CAFOD as the final total raised was £903.
